Clark Hill Attorney Thomas F. Sweeney to be Panelist at “Cross-border Tax Issues and Planning Opportunities” Seminar
Thomas F. Sweeney has extensive experience in Federal and State taxation with particular focus on estate and gift taxation, fiduciary and individual income taxation, including planning, return preparation, negotiation with tax authorities and tax litigation. He is actively involved in the planning and administration of revocable and irrevocable trusts, estates, and family limited partnerships and companies including the design and implementation of estate plans, including tax, probate avoidance and investment strategy planning, as well as probate and non-probate administration of estates, trusts, conservatorships and guardianships, trust and estate dispute resolution and other trust and estate fiduciary services.
Mr. Sweeney is also actively involved in business planning, including the organization of business entities, consultation with business owners and officers regarding operational aspects of business entities, drafting of business agreements, and other related services involved in the design and operation of business entities.
He presently is a member of the Council of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Michigan Bar Association and has served as Chair of the Taxation Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association. He has frequently spoken at
