Clark Hill Attorney Steve Richman Published in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin

Steven M. Richman, resident member in the Princeton office of Clark Hill, was recently published in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. His article, “A Checklist For Issuing, Responding To Force Majeure Notices,” outlines what parties should do regarding force majeure defenses and responses. Richman says, “The basic principle is a constant: Courts will hold parties to the contracts they made, and force majeure is an exception to that rule, excusing performance in whole or in part, forever or for a limited period, under its terms.”
