Clark Hill Attorney Ray J. Koenig III Received Chicago House & Social Service Agency 2019 Service Award

CHICAGO, IL – Ray J. Koenig III was recently honored to receive the Chicago House & Social Service Agency 2019 Service Award at Chicago House’s 33rd Annual Spring Brunch and Fashion Show, “Rhapsody on the Runway,” on May 5, 2019.  Chicago House is a non-profit organization that empowers those living with or vulnerable to HIV/AIDS to lead healthy and dignified lives, through providing housing and compassionate, client-centered support services.  Chicago House’s Service Award is given to those who have contributed to Chicago House programs and the betterment of the LGBTQ Community.  Ray is the current Board Chair of Chicago House and in June, will conclude 10 years of service as a member of the Board of Trustees.

“Ray’s leadership has returned immense support to the agency, both from the corporate and private sectors. But it’s his heart, and his compassion for our clients that is most inspiring,”  stated Drew Ferguson, fellow Board Member, upon presenting the award to Ray.

Ray accepted the award remarking, “What motivates me is the resilience displayed on behalf of the staff and our clients. This organization is primed for growth and, thanks to the support from all of you in the room, the Board of Trustees, the Advocate’s Board, and, of course our staff, Chicago House will continue to thrive for the next 33 years. On behalf of those lives, the thousands more who have been impacted since 1985, the lives that YOU, the donors, continue to allow us to change, I thank you for this incredible honor.”

Ray J. Koenig III is a Member in Clark Hill’s Litigation and Estate Planning & Probate groups. Ray also serves as the Managing Member of the Chicago office and on the Firm’s Executive Committee.  His practice focuses on Estate & Trust Litigation, for which he has been repeatedly selected as a Super Lawyer or Rising Star since 2010.  During his 10 years as a member of Chicago House’s Board of Trustees, two were served as Vice-Chair and the following three as Board Chair.
