Clark Hill Attorney Joseph Carita Speaks at Trigild Fall Lender’s Conference
PRINCETON, NJ – Clark Hill attorney Joseph A. Carita recently participated in the Trigild Fall Lender’s Conference in San Diego, California. Carita was a panelist on the Legal Lightning Round. The panel topic was “Refreshing Your Checklist for the Next Wave.” Carita spoke on the need/preference of having original loan documents when pursuing remedies on behalf of the lender and the authentication issues that arise when such documents are lost, missing or destroyed.
Carita is a member of the Banking and Finance Practice Group at Clark Hill PLC and practices out of the firm’s Princeton, New Jersey office. His focus is on creditors’ rights, from pre-litigation workouts to litigated matters in various state and bankruptcy courts and post judgment execution. He represents secured lenders, special servicers and receivers and works closely with workout officers, asset managers and in-house counsel throughout the workout/foreclosure process. With 26 years of jury and non-jury trial experience, Carita has also represented national commercial lenders, regional banks, equipment financing companies and businesses in lender liability matters, replevin cases, bankruptcy preference actions and general tort claims. He has been appointed as a civil arbitrator by the Superior Court of New Jersey and has represented clients in complex mediation and ADR matters.
