The course will review the law and focus on how to conduct a client intake interview, be aware of discovery issues, discuss state and federal governmental immunity, and how to get to the crux of the case – taking and defending depositions.
Huston, a Senior Attorney in the Commercial and Corporate Litigation Practice Group, has represented clients in federal and state courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including matters involving products liability, transportation litigation, general catastrophic loss, professional liability and premises liability matters. He has also been involved in both court mandated and voluntary alternative resolution dispute forums on behalf of clients, including arbitration, mediation and early neutral evaluation. Additionally, he has tried cases to jury verdict in both the state and federal courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Huston is admitted before the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania, including the Western District Court of Pennsylvania.
