Nelson O. Ropke assists clients in all aspects of state and federal commercial litigation, workout, and insolvency. He also represents public and private lenders documenting, negotiating, and closing commercial loan transactions nationwide. Creditors, lenders, and property owners benefit from Nelson’s combined experience as both a litigator and transactional attorney.
As a trial lawyer, Nelson represents clients in pre-and-post-judgment remedies. He is experienced with creditor’s rights enforcement including receiverships, collateral liquidation, foreclosures, repossessions, evictions, debt sales, and debt restructures.
On a transactional basis, lenders seek Nelson’s advice on a variety of lending structures, including syndications, financing leases, structured debt and equity financings, multi-jurisdictional and international transactions secured by collateral including operational assets, construction equipment, retail and wholesale inventory, real estate, intellectual property, aircraft, and maritime vessels.
U.S., Australian, and UK clients work with him to acquire and liquidate loan portfolios and commercial properties, including mobile home communities, gas stations, convenience stores, hotels, shopping centers, apartment buildings, and low-income housing developments.
