Natalie A. Remien

Senior Counsel

Natalie A. Remien regularly guides clients through vendor management, regulatory compliance, data privacy issues and cybersecurity incidents.

Natalie takes a practical approach to resolving tough privacy and security challenges such as multi-jurisdictional data breaches, protecting personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) and data governance.  With an extensive background in intellectual property, Natalie routinely advises her clients on technology transactions involving intellectual property, cloud-based services, digital media, data transfers, and services procurement.  Natalie also has experience in guiding clients through compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California privacy Rights Act, and other international, federal, and state privacy regulations.

When clients experience a cybersecurity incident or breach, Natalie is available 24/7 to assist with an effective and efficient response, including negotiating with threat actors, coordinating forensic investigations, drafting notifications and regulatory responses.  However, Natalie enjoys counseling clients on breach preparedness and training so clients may either avoid a cybersecurity incident altogether or be in the best position possible when an incident or breach does occur.

Natalie holds numerous privacy certifications, including Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Privacy Law Specialist (PLS).
