Michelle Harrington is Senior Counsel in Clark Hill’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Ms. Harrington’s practice involves representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations in individual plaintiff matters as well as in class and representative actions typically involving the California Private Attorney General Act (PAGA). Since 1997, she has represented and advised employers on all aspects of employment regulations, including posting requirements, sex harassment training, meal and rest break requirements, and the classification of employees as exempt or non-exempt. She has reviewed and prepared employee handbooks, severance agreements and executive contracts. The types of employers Ms. Harrington has represented range from family-owned businesses to national retailers. She has obtained defense verdicts in jury trials in her areas of practice and has arbitrated and mediated in excess of 100 cases in her practice.
While attending law school, Ms. Harrington was recipient of the American Jurisprudence award in Moot Court and the Academic Achievement Award. She was also the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship, which paid for her tuition. Throughout law school, she volunteered with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program to provide assistance to the indigent.
