Maureen J. Moody
Maureen J. Moody is an Associate in the Litigation Practice Group of Clark Hill’s Chicago office. She represents clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation dispute resolution, jury trials, and appeals. She practices in both state and federal courts, representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation. Maureen has experience in False Claims Act litigation, breaches of contract and warranty, fiduciary and partnership disputes, business torts, and products liability defense, among other areas.
Maureen has also represented pro bono clients. In her first year of practice, Maureen was second chair in a federal medical negligence jury trial, where she cross-examined two medical doctors and conducted the direct examination of the plaintiff. The Clark Hill team won a six-figure verdict for its client.
During law school, Maureen received four CALI Awards for earning the highest grade in her Torts, Legal Writing II, Advocacy, and Trial Practice courses. She was also a fellow at the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies. Maureen ultimately graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Prior to law school, Maureen worked on tax, finance, and other related issues in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. Maureen graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She was a proud member of the University of Michigan’s varsity women’s gymnastics team, where she helped her team win four Big Ten championships.
