John E. Berg resolves business matters involving automotive, commercial, construction and toxic tort litigation.

John represents clients confronting commercial insurance coverage disputes, including matters relating to general liability, property and casualty, products liability, toxic tort, and business tort issues. He is also called upon frequently to assist clients in evaluating coverage claims for settlement purposes.

In commercial and construction cases, John has represented owners, general contractors, and design professionals in litigation and in alternative dispute resolution forums in numerous states and federal courts around the country. His experience includes litigation related to roofing systems, public mass transportation, wastewater treatment facilities, elevated light rail mass transportation, automobile parts and assembly plants, high-rise office buildings, hospitals, research facilities, warehouses, robotics systems, hotels, apartment and condominium complexes, underground installations, parking structures, and commercial retail developments.

John leverages his automotive litigation experience as national coordinating counsel for a global automobile manufacturer faced with asbestos lawsuits. In that capacity, John supervises trial counsel to ensure that matters with large verdict potential are fully and adequately prepared for trial. Additionally, he is responsible to assist in the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives.
