Jakob F. Williams
Jakob Williams advocates for public and private sector employers facing employment litigation, and counsels employers on regulatory compliance and best practices.
Jakob represents employers facing wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and other state and federal employment claims. Jakob also represents employers as both plaintiffs and defendants in restrictive covenant, non-compete, and trade secrets suits.
A large part of Jakob’s practice covers advising employers on labor compliance issues, workplace best practices, employment policies, and workplace training. This type of anticipatory practices helps his clients stay in compliance, so they do not find themselves scrambling to remediate after the fact. Most recently Jakob has focused his advisory practice on helping employers navigate the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, including the development of cross-jurisdictional pandemic preparedness plans, and employer vaccination plans.
In addition to a focused Labor and Employment practice, Jakob also has experience working in high-stakes commercial litigation and investigations. These have included large antitrust actions, multidistrict litigation, and administrative agency investigations.
Prior to joining to Clark Hill, Jakob worked as a fellow at the City of Philadelphia Law Department where he represented the City in litigation and provided legal guidance to other City departments.
