J. Patrick Griffin
J. Patrick Griffin is an associate in the Labor & Employment practice.
Prior to joining Clark Hill, Patrick served as lead trial counsel at the Derek Smith Law Group in Philadelphia where he represented clients through all phases of employment litigation. Patrick also served as the judicial fellow to the Honorable Shelley Robins New in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. Patrick assisted the court and collaborated with law clerks, court support staff and counsel in researching and drafting responses to motions, orders and opinions for major jury trials.
Patrick serves on the board of directors of Team Foster, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing support to veterans with injuries and disabilites by partnering service dogs with veterans and supporting local veterans and retired military working dogs through various grants.In connection with his work with Team Foster, Patrick was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2018.
Patrick earned his law degree from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, ranking top 30% of the graduating class. While attending Drexel University Patrick achieved Best Student Performance with the hightest grade in evidence, international law and energy law. Patrick was also awarded Best Oral Argument Legal Methods II, Best Oral Argument Pre-Trial Advocacy and Pro Bono Service Honors for his extensive Pro-Bono work at the SeniorLAW Center of Philadelphia.
Patrick volunteered at the John S. Bradway High School Mock Trial and the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle.
Before attending law school, Patrick graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Business.
