Diana Choe's practice focuses on the defense of healthcare providers with an emphasis on allegations of elder abuse, professional negligence, unfair business practices, fraud, and violations of statutorily-imposed duties. Although Diana's current practice is primarily devoted to the representation of skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly, and assisted living facilities, she additionally has represented home health and hospice care providers, pharmacies, and medical providers in professional/medical liability, as well as general liability claims.
Diana also regularly provides advice and counsel on healthcare compliance, fraud and abuse matters, HIPAA, and other state and federal regulations, and evaluates internal policies and procedures in view of the changing landscape in the healthcare industry in order to minimize risk. She is a strong advocate of integrating quality of care issues into compliance program activities and understands the options for implementing corporate integrity agreements (CIAs) as part of the resolution of False Claim Act cases, civil money penalty cases, and self-disclosures.
In addition to healthcare matters, Diana has significant industry experience through her work representing clients in mass tort cases, involving complex records preservation and collection issues, e-discovery (ESI), and records management and privacy practices.
