Daniel Schuleman is an Associate in the Insurance & Reinsurance group, based in the firm's Chicago office. He concentrates his practice in insurance coverage and counseling and represents domestic and international insurers. Mr. Schuleman has experience analyzing and opining upon complex coverage and bad faith disputes and representing insurers in coverage litigation arising under a wide range of primary and excess policies and exposures.
He has assisted in the successful resolution of insurance coverage disputes arising under many lines and areas, including bad faith, commercial general liability, environmental and toxic tort, errors and omissions, fidelity and commercial crime, first party property, professional liability, and financial institution and banker’s liability, including mortgage company professional liability.
Prior to joining Clark Hill, Mr. Schuleman was an Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm where he served as coverage and monitoring counsel for domestic and international insurers in complex insurance coverage disputes and represented domestic carriers in first party property coverage litigation. Mr. Schuleman received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law where he served as a Production Editor and published member of the Illinois Journal of Law, Technology & Policy and was invited to join the College of Law’s National Moot Court Competition Team. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Eric I. Long at the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
Mr. Schuleman received his B.A. in Religious Studies with departmental honors from Northwestern University.
