Courtney A. Murphy is the Pittsburgh E-Discovery Project Manager in Clark Hill’s Information Governance and Discovery Services Group. In this role, Courtney develops and administers discovery processes for the firm, dealing with the collection, processing, hosting, review, and production of documents and other materials. She has extensive experience in planning and managing document reviews, including drafting training and orientation materials, planning and prioritizing workflows, and developing and implementing quality control procedures for large-scale projects. Other discovery-specific experience includes the collection of hard copy material from client sites, preparation of privilege logs, and analysis of document collection contents to assist in fact development for litigation and investigations.
In addition to her discovery and document review background, Courtney has counseled on best practices in preservation and legal holds, as well as on policies and procedures for records management. She has prepared materials for business development proposals and presentations, and has researched and developed materials for discovery-focused Continuing Legal Education programs.
Courtney earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. Prior to joining Clark Hill, she was a member of Reed Smith’s Records & E-Discovery group.
