Autumn L. Moore is an experienced litigator and counselor. She focuses her practice on resolving labor and employment matters for employers in state and federal courts, arbitration and government agency hearings regarding wrongful termination, FEHA-related harassment and discrimination, whistleblower actions, PAGA representative actions, retaliation, wage and hour, and failure to provide leave actions. Examples of Autumn’s work include:
- Defeating an independent contractor’s attempt at trial to collect waiting time penalties by alleging employee status;
- Defeating a former employee’s whistleblower and constructive discharge claims in arbitration;
- Defeating a former employee’s wrongful termination claims in arbitration on behalf of a national telecommunications company;
- Winning dismissal of PAGA penalty claims at the pleading stage on behalf of a large metropolitan city.
Autumn also advises and counsels employers on a broad spectrum of issues pertaining to the employment relationship, including personnel management, employee discipline and termination, personnel policies and practices suitable to the size and culture of an organization, as well as leave of absence issues. Autumn has also performed workplace investigations dealing with complex employment issues.
In her spare time, Autumn chairs the USC Law Alumni Group in Chicago and enjoys being a part of the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
