Alex Yastremski advises public and private companies, financial sponsors, investors, and entrepreneurs in structuring, financing, and governing their companies and assets in compliance with applicable regulatory regimes.

After beginning his career representing his clients in the cross-border finance industry in New York, Alex moved to California, where he helps businesses with compelling technologies reach their growth objectives. Specifically, he is adept at helping companies across borders, where an appreciation of different business cultures is key, together with an interactive, collaborative and attentive approach. Alex has worked with companies at all stages of development—from two founders and a laptop through venture capital financing to post-IPO equity issuances and beyond. As a former General Counsel with more than a decade of experience in the role, Alex makes sure his work is practical, commercial, and cost-effective for the circumstances.
Alex also represents clients as outside general counsel on matters including entity formation, corporate governance, debt and equity financing, real estate purchases/leases, IP protection, and regulatory compliance.
He also provides regulatory advice to blockchain advocacy consortia committed to educating legislators and regulators about blockchain policy from the local to federal levels.
As the outside general counsel for many of his clients, Alex advises on key transaction and business matters, such as:
- Multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, real estate purchases/leases, and supply-chain, manufacturing, and vendor agreements; and
- Entity formation, corporate governance, policies and procedures, employment, market expansion, commercial contracts, and complex regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Clark Hill, Alex served as General Counsel for a NASDAQ-listed multinational telecommunications company, and for start-ups with emerging technologies and brands in blockchain, biotech, and hospitality.
