Our paralegals are credentialed and experienced individuals, and we provide them with tools and cutting-edge technology to perform their work at the highest level. Their efforts are vital to managing the litigation process and complex transactions our attorneys handle every day. Litigation Paralegal – Chicago, IL

Clark Hill PLC is in need of a Paralegal with at least 3 years of experience for its Litigation practice group in Chicago, IL.  Responsibilities for this role include drafting routine correspondence and legal documents; collecting, organizing, and reviewing records; assisting with all phases of discovery and trial preparation; and managing complex commercial litigation files.  Experience working with e-discovery software is required.  Candidates should possess excellent computer skills, high-level attention to detail, and superior written and oral communication skills.  Qualified candidates must be able to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or a Paralegal Certificate will be considered.  To apply, interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume.

Litigation Paralegal (probate & guardianship) – Chicago, IL

Clark Hill PLC is in need of an experienced Paralegal for the Litigation practice group in our Chicago, IL office. Experience with trust, estate and guardianship controversies is strongly preferred.  Responsibilities for this role include docket and calendar management; drafting correspondence intended for third-parties; working with clients to compile and submit necessary documents to the Courts; opening and closing estates; preparation of subpoenas, Notices for service and summonses for service; and complete file management.  Qualified candidates should possess excellent computer skills, high-level attention to detail, and superior written and oral communication skills.  All candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as experience working with Nuance and E-Discovery software.  Experience working with PACER and with financial statements is preferred.  Qualified candidates must be able to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or a Paralegal Certificate will be considered.  To apply, interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume.

Real Estate Paralegal – Chicago, IL

Clark Hill is in need of a Paralegal with at least 3 years of experience for its Real Estate practice group in Chicago.  Candidates must have the following Real Estate experience: commercial and residential real estate purchase/sale transactions; financing and leasing in Chicago; and title preparation and clearance.  Candidates with the following experience are preferred: preparation of corporate minutes and the maintenance of corporate minute books; formation of corporations and limited liability companies; and support for SS-4 applications and EIN numbers.  Qualified candidates should possess excellent computer skills, and a high-level attention to detail. Qualified candidates should also possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and an ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience in a heavy litigation environment. Experience in construction and/or insurance litigation will be a plus. Responsibilities for this role include drafting routine correspondence and legal documents; preparing pleadings and subpoenas; responding to discovery requests and e-discovery; and collecting, organizing and reviewing records. Candidates should be proficient in Relativity, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and be able to learn new programs as they are introduced. Clark Hill PLC is looking for entry-level paralegals to join the Immigration Practice Group in our Washington, D.C. and Detroit, MI offices. Responsibilities for this role include preparing various documents on behalf of clients for submission to US immigration agencies. Strong candidates will be familiar with the procedures governing family-based immigration, consular processing, asylum, removal defense, and electronic case filing with U.S. federal courts (preferred). Responsibilities will include preparing filings with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) and immigration court, communicating with clients, completing forms, gathering facts and evidence to support our clients’ applications and motions, drafting declarations, and more.
