R-Conrad Consulting Appoints Roy Salazar as COO for Manufacturing Segment
HOUSTON, February 10, 2015 – R-Conrad Consulting, a fast-growing business and healthcare consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Roy Salazar as chief operations officer for its manufacturing group. As part of a strategy to further strengthen its consulting position in the manufacturing industry, Salazar will oversee the strategic direction of the consulting firm’s work with emerging, mid-sized manufacturing companies along the Gulf Coast
“Our roots run deep in manufacturing,” said Robert Conrad, president and CEO of R-Conrad Consulting. “Not only are we seeing increased demand for our services from manufacturers, we’re extremely encouraged by the record-breaking manufacturing statistics released by the National Association of Manufacturers, www.nam.org. Roy’s appointment allows us to focus and allocate resources to serve the needs of Gulf Coast manufacturers.”
With experience in leadership roles and consulting engagements in manufacturing and healthcare sectors, Salazar’s appointment expands R. Conrad’s reach and cross-disciplinary capabilities within diverse manufacturing environments. A Lean expert for more than a decade, his experience spans multiple industries and functions.
In subsequent roles as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Lean Sensei at a global manufacturer of power management solutions, Salazar delivered process and quality improvements across projects touching every aspect of the industry. He is well-known for successfully integrating change management into every stage of the improvement process, resulting in employee alignment and participation throughout the organization.
“R-Conrad Consulting has a strong and highly-experienced team in the manufacturing segment,” said Salazar. ”In an industry that supports an estimated 17.6 million jobs in the United States and accounts for one in six private sector jobs and 12% of U.S. GDP, I look forward to working with our team to build even stronger business transformation solutions to help manufacturers grow and profit.”
“No doubt, the manufacturing sector in the U.S. is growing, especially among small- to medium-size businesses,” said Conrad. “Roy’s appointment allows us to serve regional manufacturers struggling with cost reduction, merger, product innovation, capacity issues and environmental pressures – the whole gamut of distractions a business faces on a day to day basis.”
