Attorneys Mark S. Sifferman and Sean M. Carroll will give a presentation on “Lien and Bond Law” to the staff and customers of Border States Electric Supply. The seminar will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Border States’ Phoenix Branch (5519 East Washington Street).

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Overview of lien and bond laws

  • When to take action and what action needs to be taken to keep from waiving your lien and bond rights

  • Requirements for bonded projects (State vs. Federal)Working with general contractors/owners

  • Bankruptcy preference-payment claims

  • Lien Law changes

    Sifferman is a member of Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group practicing law in the areas of commercial, business and real estate litigation. His focus is on construction collections and liens, real property, and mortgage enforcement and regulation.

    Carroll is an associate in Clark Hill’s Phoenix office, where he acts as outsourced corporate counsel for a variety of clients in the hospitality, real estate, insurance, and healthcare industries. Sean has handled a myriad of litigation matters, having assisted countless corporations, individuals, and public entities before administrative agencies, mediators, judges, and juries.
