Peter D. Dugas of Clark Hill PLC Provides Expert Insight in "GamblingCompliance" Online News Source

– Peter Dugas, a director of government affairs at Clark Hill PLC, was recently quoted in an article in “GamblingCompliance,” entitled “Obama Administration Weighs In On Online Poker Regulation.” The article addresses the federal government’s concerns in regards to Internet gambling and the implications of certain licensing and regulation. Dugas noted that the White House has taken steps to review the Justice Department’s memo on the Wire Act and federal laws for online gaming.

Dugas is a part of Clark Hill’s Government & Public Affairs Practice Group in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. He has experience in all aspects of U.S. public policy with primary expertise in financial services, tax policy, international trade and economic development, as well as the Dodd-Frank Act. Dugas served as the deputy assistant secretary in the Office of Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. As such, he negotiated the Department’s budget request before U.S. Congress, and he provided policy and administrative guidance on the implementation of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act’s Troubled Asset Relief Program.
