Joseph A. Bonventre advises individuals on estate planning, probate, charitable planning and trust administration and related tax matters. Mr. Bonventre has substantial experience advising individuals and members of closely held businesses on traditional and sophisticated estate planning techniques available to reduce their federal income tax, gift tax, estate tax and generation skipping transfer tax liabilities. He earned is B.S. from the University of Detroit and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Detroit College of Law.
Jennifer M. Buckley , a member of the firm, defends employers in state and federal court actions against sex, race, age, disability discrimination claims, ERISA and FMLA claims, as well as wrongful discharge and related tort claims. She is also experienced in defending actions brought under Michigan's Sales Representative Commissions Act and pursuing and defending claims pertaining to restrictive covenants. Ms. Buckley graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. degree and earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Detroit College of Law.
Laura Silvestri Del Pup is an associate with the Business Practice Group of Clark Hill’s Detroit office. Ms. Del Pup focuses her practice in the areas of corporate law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and tax exempt organizations. Ms. Del Pup is also experienced in choice of entity planning, formation and maintenance, employment and confidentiality agreements, sales agreements, license agreements, and incorporation and qualification of tax exempt organizations. Ms. Del Pup obtained her B.A. and B.S. degrees, with high honors, from Madonna University and graduated with her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University – College of Law.
Frederick H. Hoops, III is a member of the firm’s Probate and Estate Planning Group. His experience includes all aspects of estate planning, tax minimization, asset protection, family partnerships, limited liability companies and the probate and non-probate administration of trusts, decedents' estates, guardianships and conservatorships, and includes the preparation of estate and fiduciary tax returns for trusts and estates, and organizing and answering questions concerning charitable and other tax-exempt organizations. He has also settled and litigated various will and trust contests. Mr. Hoops received his B.M. degree from the University of Michigan and earned his LL.M. degree as well as his J.D. degree from the University of Miami.
Jay P. Paranjpe is an associate of the firm's Business Practice Group, and concentrates his practice in intellectual property law and litigation. Mr. Paranjpe is experienced in domestic and international patent prosecution in various technology areas, including medical devices, mechanical engineering, chemistry and biotechnology. He advises clients with respect to numerous technology issues, such as utility patent applications, infringement opinions, copyright and trademark matters, licensing agreements and technology employment non-competition agreements. Mr. Paranjpe obtained his B.S. degree from the University of Oregon and his J.D. degree from Washington University.
