Four Clark Hill Chicago Attorneys Named Illinois Leading Lawyers 2012

Four Clark Hill Chicago attorneys were named Illinois Leading Lawyers for 2012. Richard H. Chapman, James M. Drake, Gary E. Green and L. Steven Platt were named Illinois Leading Lawyers in their respective areas of practice.

Chapman is a member of Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group. He has more than 29 years of successful experience as a leading trial lawyer concentrating in business and employment litigation in federal, state and bankruptcy courts, as well as in arbitration, throughout the United States. Richard has litigated cases in Illinois state, federal and bankruptcy courts, as well as courts in California, Texas, North Carolina, Florida and Michigan.

Drake is Of Counsel with Clark Hill’s Business Practice Group in its Chicago office. He represents business entities of all sizes in all types of transactional matters domestically and internationally, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, structuring, organizing and documenting partnerships and limited liability companies, drafting and negotiating all types of contracts and agreements, and handling partnership and membership dissolutions and disputes.

Green practices in the Banking, Litigation and Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Departments. He has more than 23 years of experience representing financial institutions in foreclosures, receiverships, lender liability, bankruptcy and restructuring.

Platt is a Member of the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Platt has been practicing law since 1978 and focuses his activities in labor and employment law as well as litigation. Prior to joining Clark Hill, Platt was a partner for many years at a Chicago labor and employment boutique firm. During his practice, he has represented litigants in employment discrimination matters, did multi-employer Taft-Harley fringe benefit fund work, ERISA and other general litigation.
