Clark Hill's Rod Williamson Appears Before Michigan House Energy Committee

Rod Williamson provided testimony before the Michigan House of Representatives Energy Committe on March 20, 2018. In addition to his role as Director for Clark Hill's Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group, Williamson serves as Executive Director for ABATE, an interest group of large energy users. It was in this capacity that he appeared before the Michigan House Energy Committee to address industry regulation. Video of the session may be viewed here

Williamson is responsible for directing Clark Hill’s strategic planning, business development, talent recruitment/development, financial planning activities and managing the daily operations for Clark Hill’s Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group. Williamson has previous experience as an energy manager for large industrial companies.  He has negotiated complex natural gas and electricity supply contracts, structured natural gas and electricity supply transactions in deregulated markets, and developed short and long-term energy market analysis. Williamson has significant experience managing industrial customer interventions in natural gas and electricity regulatory proceedings at state public service commissions, developing state and federal energy policy recommendations, testifying before state legislative energy committees, and drafting state energy legislation. Additionally, he has administered energy conservation projects, implemented demand response programs, and developed energy risk management programs.
