Clark Hill’s National Banking & Finance Practice Expands With Addition of Attorneys Nola Bencze and Joseph Carita

Clark Hill announced today that Nola Rooney Bencze and Joseph A. Carita have joined the firm’s Princeton, New Jersey office as Senior Counsel in the firm’s Banking & Finance Practice Group. Each brings over two decades of experience in banking and financial services litigation to the firm.

Nola Rooney Bencze focuses her practice on banking, complex bankruptcy and workout, commercial banking and lender liability litigation. She has acted as counsel in a variety of transactional matters and has conducted both jury and non-jury trials. Bencze has established a specialty in payment law and the development and documentation of a wide variety of service products, including cash management and treasury products, transaction and data processing service products and has created entire suites of products for bank lines of business. She has expertise in the area of the Automatic Clearing House Rules and Article 4A of the Uniform Commercial Code and has obtained positive outcomes in advising clients on these issues and representing them in related litigation.

Bencze earned her J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law and B.A. at St. Joseph’s College. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Joseph A. Carita focuses his practice on creditors' rights, from pre-litigation workouts to litigated matters in both state courts and United States Bankruptcy Courts through post judgment execution. He represents national commercial lenders, special servicers, regional banks, equipment financing companies and other major creditors. Carita has also represented clients in complex mediation and ADR matters and has been responsible for all aspects of litigated commercial and liability matters, from pretrial discovery and dispositive motions through jury and non-jury trials.

Carita earned his J.D. at Widener University School of Law and B.A. at the Bucknell University. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
