October 18, 2018

CHICAGO, IL – Latasha R. Thomas, Senior Counsel in Clark Hill’s Government and Public Affairs Practice Group, will appear on a panel with the ABA State and Local Government Law Section for a discussion held by the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) tomorrow.

The program, “STRENGTHENING LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS: A Project for Pakistan,” will focus on budget management in a mega-city and mega-county; emergency management; citizen diplomacy with sister-cities; government oversight by the media; neighborhood initiatives; and a legal emphasis on local government law and policy.  International government leaders from around the world are invited to the United States to participate under the IVLP.

The IVLP is a section of The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.  Its mission is to help strengthen U.S. engagement with countries world-wide and foster enduring relationships by connecting existing and emerging foreign leaders with their U.S. counterparts through short-term visits to the United States.
