Clark Hill’s Labor and Employment Group is gearing up to present the 24th Annual Employment Law Conference on May 8, 2008 at the Ford Conference Center in Dearborn, MI. This year’s program, entitled “Gearing Up for an Evolving Economy,” is designed for CEO’s, in-house corporate counsel, human resource directors and others who are involved with the increasingly complex field of labor and employment law.
This year’s program features 16 workshops designed to examine a broad scope of labor and employment concerns. Among the featured topics are “2008 FMLA Amendments and Update on Managing the Use and Abuse of FMLA,” “Employee Investigations,” “Recordkeeping, and Preserving Data for Litigation,” “Unlawful Harassment and Retaliation: An Ounce of Prevention,” and “Violence in the Workplace,” among others. The lunchtime presentation, “Legislative Update: What’s Happening in Washington and Lansing?,” will be presented by Reginald Turner of Clark Hill’s Labor and Employment Group and John Van Fossen of Clark Hill’s Government and Public Affairs Group.
The cost for the seminar is $125 per person, $75 for any additional person from the same entity.
Price includes conference materials, continental breakfast full lunch and reception. This program has been approved for 5 credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). The program runs from 7:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
