Clark Hill to Open Washington DC Office
– Clark Hill PLC will open a Washington DC office this June to serve as the hub of its growing Government and Public Affairs Group, CEO John Hern announced.
The group, led by government affairs professional John Van Fossen, plans to open its doors on “I” Street in early June of this year.
“The firm has had a Washington DC presence for quite some time, so opening a local office was the next logical step,” Van Fossen said.
“The amount of federal work that our group handles has increased steadily for several years, and we’re looking forward to having the ability to offer our clients an expanded reach.”
Clark Hill’s Government and Public Affairs Group includes members from several different practice areas, and in recent years has seen growth with the addition of several new members.
In addition to Van Fossen, the Government and Public Affairs Group includes Andrew Richner, Roderick “Rick” Coy, Paul Novak, Duane Tarnacki, Del Chenault, Don Tucker, Wava Culver, Denise Ilitch, Reggie Turner, and Alan Canady.
Earlier this month, the firm announced that Dan Beattie, former director for the state of Michigan Washington Office, had joined its group as well, and will be working out of the firm’s DC office.
Van Fossen said the firm plans to grow the office locally, in addition to the members commuting from Michigan.
“Our new office puts us in an enhanced position to deliver on our ‘Count on More’ promise,” Van Fossen said.
“The nature of our government affairs services is extremely diverse, and paired with the ability to provide legal perspective to our clients, we are experiencing tremendous growth in our business. ”
Van Fossen said the firm’s office will be located at 1250 I Street, NW; Washington, DC.
