Clark Hill PLC's Washington, D.C., Office Continues to Grow With the Addition of Senior Counsel Patricia M. Sulzbach and Associate Christopher B. Clare

– Clark Hill PLC continues to grow its Washington, D.C., office with the addition of Patricia M. Sulzbach and Christopher B. Clare. Both attorneys joined the firm in early December, Sulzbach as a senior counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, and Clare as an associate in the firm’s Environment, Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group.
“We are thrilled to be growing our D.C. presence and enhancing our existing practice groups with the addition of Patricia and Christopher,” said Charles R. Spies, managing member of the firm’s D.C. office. “Patricia is an expert in white collar criminal defense and Congressional and corporate investigations, and brings her nationally recognized knowledge and experience in those areas. Sulzbach is a seasoned litigator who has tried more than 75 civil and criminal cases. She represents both individuals and corporations, and has extensive experience in white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, corporate monitorship, environmental enforcement, compliance and litigation. Sulzbach is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and Naval JAG officer, where she routinely tried complex high profile cases, including FCPA, bribery, fraud, money laundering, drug trafficking and corruption. Sulzbach is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and a contributing author of the BNA

Clare has specialized in the area of environmental litigation, regulatory compliance matters and business transactions involving environmental issues since graduating from Duke University School of Law in 2009. Before joining Clark Hill, Clare worked as an associate specializing in environmental and governmental law for a regional firm in Charlotte, N.C. While there, he assisted in all aspects of litigation, performed extensive environmental due diligence of domestic and international companies and facilities, and assisted clients with general compliance and permitting matters.
