Clark Hill PLC Washington Office Leader Charlie Spies Takes Key Role With The Congressional Leadership Fund

WASHINGTON, DC

– Charles R. Spies, leader of Clark Hill PLC’s national Political Law practice and the Government and Public Affairs Group, and Member in Charge of the firm’s Washington, DC office has been named Senior Advisor to The Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC), the Super PAC exclusively dedicated to protecting and growing the Republican Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Spies, a veteran campaign finance and election law strategist, most recently served as Co-Founder and Treasurer of Restore Our Future, the pro-Romney Super PAC that raised more than $150 million in the 2012 election cycle. His law practice focuses on counseling a broad range of corporations, organizations, candidates and individuals confronting challenges and opportunities at the intersection of political and issue campaigns, government ethics, law and public policy.

Spies also served as Chief Financial Officer and Counsel for Governor Mitt Romney’s 2008 Presidential campaign, General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer for the Republican Governors Association during the 2005 and 2006 election cycles, and during President George W. Bush’s re-election in 2004 election cycle, Mr. Spies served as Election Law Counsel for the Republican National Committee.

Spies has more than a decade of experience providing strategic counsel at the highest levels in Washington, D.C., and nationwide. He counsels a broad range of organizations, corporations, candidates and individuals confronting challenges and opportunities at the intersection of political and issue campaigns, government ethics, law and public policy.

Spies earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
