Gregory W. Moore
heads up Clark Hill’s Healthcare initiative and is also a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group. He has focused his entire career on representing health care providers and routinely handles matters before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies. In addition, Moore provides daily counsel to health care providers ranging in size from the sole physician office to some of the largest physician practice groups and hospital systems in the United States. He also has extensive experience with immigration law as it applies to the health care industry.
Moore was named one of Indiana’s Super Lawyers in 2003 and 2004. Moore was also named to Indiana’s List of Who’s Who Behind the Scenes in Health Care in 2004. In Michigan, he was named to Michigan Super Lawyers in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Moore is an accomplished speaker. He has lectured on health care and employment law topics all across the United States. Moore routinely appears as a guest on Talk of the Town, a Bloomfield Township cable access program focusing on law, politics and other issues of local concern. He routinely publishes articles through various trade publications in the health care industry and is currently a Chapter Author for Wage and Hour Laws: A State-by-State Survey and in the past was a contributing author for The Developing Labor Law. Both treatises are published by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment.
Michael W. Matthews
is an associate in the Healthcare Practice Group of Clark Hill’s Birmingham office and concentrates his practice in the healthcare industry.
Prior to his legal career, Matthews served in executive roles for hospitals and long-term care facilities, including the Chief Executive Officer for two different hospitals and as long-term care Administrator.
Matthews counsels clients in numerous aspects of healthcare law. He regularly advises a variety of healthcare providers, including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, behavioral health providers, long term care providers, home health agencies and other healthcare related entities on business, transactional, and regulatory matters such as the acquisition and merger of physician medical practices, preparation and review of hospital, physician and other provider contracts, preparation and review of provider policy and procedures, professional services agreements, and general contracts. His day-to-day work also involves counseling clients on corporate organizational matters, corporate compliance, board of director/trustee organization and governance, Fraud and Abuse/Stark opinions, obtaining and maintaining tax exemption, and general physician contracting matters, including recruitment and employment arrangements.
