Clark Hill PLC Attorney Mark W. McInerney Presented at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's "Current Issues in Sports and the Law" Seminar

DETROIT, MICH.

– Clark Hill PLC attorney Mark McInerney presented at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s (ICLE) seminar, “Current Issues in Sports and the Law,” on May 30, in Ann Arbor, Mich. McInerney addressed issues involving high school students, schools and sports, including current trends regarding discrimination in athletics and eligibility of student-athletes under MHSAA rules. Other issues addressed at the seminar include collegiate student athletes and the law and advising professional athletes. Clark Hill associate, Sarah A. Geddes, assisted McInerney in preparing materials and information for the presentation.

McInerney is a member in Clark Hill’s Education, Municipal, Labor and Employment, and Litigation Practice Groups, and is resident of the firm’s Detroit office. McInerney has extensive knowledge and experience in educational law, and has drafted and enforced school district policies, student discipline matters, teacher tenure issues, and general school legal issues and litigation.
