Clark Hill PLC and SRR Join Forces to Support Grace Centers of Hope
– Clark Hill PLC and Stout Risius Ross, Inc. (SRR) have joined forces to support the Grace Centers of Hope in their mission to develop a daycare facility for their program participants.
The firms will adopt a room in the daycare center and provide the funding to furnish the room as well as spend a day volunteering at the daycare, painting, cleaning and otherwise preparing the center for its children.
“Clark Hill and SRR decided to join forces because both of our firms have proactive social programs geared toward engaging our employees with the community,” said SRR President Mike Kern.
“Clark Hill has Clark Hill Cares and SRR has a corporate citizenship program.
We thought by combining our resources, we could accomplish twice as much for the Grace Centers of Hope and it looks like we are on target to do just that.”
Grace Centers of Hope is Oakland County’s oldest and largest homeless shelter, founded in 1942. Today, Grace Centers of Hope serves individuals faced with homelessness, addiction, and poverty.
On any given night, Grace Centers of Hope will accommodate between 150-200 men, women and children. Each year the Center provides more than 127,000 meals and more than 55,000 nights of stay. Earlier this year, Grace Centers of Hope acquired a new daycare facility which was in need of repairs and upgrades.
Through donations and volunteer service, the daycare is scheduled to open in June 2011.
“We welcome this chance to be a part of this program and know by working alongside SRR we are able to truly assist the Grace Centers of Hope and their Hands of Hope Daycare,” said Clark Hill CEO John Hern.
“We are looking forward to working together and hoping that our project inspires other businesses to partner with each other and support the community.
It’s a great way to come together, build relationships, and fill a need at the same time.”
