Detroit, MI – Clark Hill Health Care Practice Group is pleased to announce membership in the Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association.
Health Care attorneys Laura E. Ashpole and Gerald “Jud” E. DeLoss practice in the firm’s Chicago office and look forward to representing Clark Hill as an Affiliate Member with the IADDA.
Established in 1967, IADDA is a statewide organization representing more than 50 community-based substance abuse and mental health prevention, treatment and recovery organizations and over 200 individual members across the state. IADDA’s mission is to advocate for sound public policies in the behavioral health field, on behalf of the clinicians, consumers, family members, individuals in recovery and youth who are in need of services.
Ashpole is an Associate in the Health Care Practice Group in Clark Hill’s Chicago office. She works with mental health and addiction treatment providers, physician groups and trade associations, providing counsel on a variety of matters including contracting, corporate compliance, corporate transactions, confidentiality, licensure and certification, billing and reimbursement, managed care, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, parity and the Affordable Care Act.
DeLoss is a Member in Clark Hill’s Chicago office in the Health Care Practice Group. He focuses on the representation of behavioral healthcare providers (SUD and Mental Health), hospitals, medical groups, federallyqualified health centers, trade associations, health information exchanges, EHR vendors, and research organizations. His practice areas include health information privacy, HIPAA, corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, reimbursement (Medicare/Medicaid/private insurers), contracting, and credentialing/privileging. He has represented multiple clients on Meaningful Use (“MU”) audits and appeals, to prevent recoupment of MU incentives.
