Clark Hill Attorneys to Present Labor & Employment Training – Standards of Discipline – May 19, 2016

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Clark Hill’s Joseph C. Rudolf and Amy C. Lachowicz, attorneys in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group, will present a one hour training session on “Standards of Discipline” in the firm’s Philadelphia office on May 19, 2016.

Rudolf practices exclusively in the field of labor and employment law. Since 1985, he has devoted a significant portion of his time to the public sector/management side and has represented more than 400 Pennsylvania public employers. He has served as arbitrator and presenter in more than 100 Act 111 interest arbitrations and has represented employers in a wide array of proceedings, including grievance arbitrations, Police Tenure Act Hearings, Civil Service Hearings, and Heart and Lung Act Hearings. On a regular basis, Rudolf advises public sector clients on a range of issues involving municipal pensions, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Act (PLRA), Act 195, as well as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA), Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA).

Lachowicz’s employment litigation practice focuses on the representation of employers against claims of discrimination and retaliation based on race, gender, age, disability and religion. Her practice includes the litigation of restrictive covenants in employment agreements, disputes over confidentiality agreements and the misappropriation of trade secrets. She also counsels clients on policies and procedures that comply with Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and other federal and state anti-discrimination statutes. Lachowicz frequently drafts and revises employee handbooks to ensure that employers comply with the applicable anti-discrimination laws.
