will present “Workplace Violence: HR and Safety Practices” Seminar Series in conjunction with the Michigan Chamber of Commerce October 3 in Lansing, October 9 in Grand Rapids, and October 11 in Novi.
The seminar is designed to examine understanding the threat of workplace violence, behavioral indicators of violent individuals and the legal issues surrounding workplace violence. Thomas Brady is a member of Clark Hill PLC and co-leader of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. For more than 25 years, Brady has advised employers in avoiding liability under various federal and state civil rights and employment laws. He has drafted policies and procedures for employers, including policies on handling violent individuals in the workplace.
Stephanie Clifford is a senior attorney with Clark Hill’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. She focuses her practice on employment litigation involving state and federal claims of harassment, retaliation, sex, race, national origin, religious and disability discrimination. Clifford helps employers create and revise employment handbooks and policies. In addition, she advises employers on employee security and privacy issues, drug testing, EEO compliance and other employment laws.
