Clark Hill Attorneys Steven Girard, Grant Pecor, Nicole Paterson and Peter Domas to Present at Michigan County Medical Care Facilities 2014 Spring Management Conference

GRAND RAPIDS, MI

– Clark Hill attorneys Steven Girard, Grant Pecor and Nicole Paterson, with Clark Hill’s Grand Rapids office and Peter Domas with Clark Hill’s Birmingham office, will present at the Michigan County Medical Care Facilities Council (MCMCFC) 2014 Spring Management Conference. The Conference, taking place at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs, Michigan, is a four-day conference commencing on Monday June 2, 2014.

Clark Hill’s attorneys will present on various topics, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Michigan’s new Right-To-Work statute, Michigan’s criminal conviction statute for nursing home workers, and the False Claims Act and Qui Tam issues in nursing homes and county MCF’s.

Clark Hill is General Legal Counsel to the MCMCFC. Steven Girard, Grant Pecor, and Nicole Paterson are members of Clark Hill’s Labor & Employment Practice Group and specialize in the representation of employers. They work with numerous health care facilities, community mental health agencies, hospitals, nursing homes, and county medical care facilities and have expertise in all facets of labor and employment law, such as collective bargaining, wage-and-hour matters, and hearings before state and federal administrative agencies and courts. Peter Domas practices in Clark Hill’s Health Care Practice Group. Girard, Pecor, and Paterson are members of the labor and employment sections of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. Girard and Domas are members of the health care law sections of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. They frequently present on a variety of labor and employment and health care topics and provide in-house training for several medical facilities and organizations.

The Michigan County Medical Care Facilities Council is an organization formed to support, educate and advocate on behalf of the 35 Michigan County Medical Care Facilities.
