CHICAGO, IL – Clark Hill attorneys Ray J. Koenig III, MacKenize A. Hyde, and Eric Dorkin will present at a one day Powers of Attorney and Guardianship seminar offered by IICLE®. The seminar will take place on June 12, 2015 at the UBS Tower in Chicago.
Koenig and Hyde are speaking on “POA & Guardianship Litigation.” This session delves into complicated problems with both POA and guardianship litigation, such as modifying a power of attorney.
Hyde and Dorkin are speaking on “Drafting POA & Guardianships for Person/Estate/Property.” Using a hypothetical, they will discuss the different tools, and teach common techniques to use and mistakes to avoid.

Koenig is the Managing Member of Clark Hill’s Chicago office and a member in Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group. He practices in the areas of probate litigation, trust litigation, fiduciary litigation, elder law, estate planning, and estate administration, with an emphasis on wills, trusts, guardianships, and advance directive contests and other fiduciary litigation. Koenig has represented individuals, families, financial institutions, medical institutions, and governmental organizations in all areas of his practice. Koenig has extensive trial, appellate and mediation experience in state and federal courts.
Hyde is a Senior Attorney in the Litigation Practice Group of Clark Hill’s Chicago office. She concentrates in contested guardianships and estates as well as fiduciary litigation and estate administration. Hyde represents individuals, medical institutions and financial institutions in all areas of her practice. She is frequently appointed by judges in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem in disabled estates and Special Administrator in decedent’s estates.
Dorkin represents a wide range of clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, real estate holdings, and construction, as well as high net worth individuals. He has extensive experience counseling clients in matters involving will, trust and estate litigation, non-compete, unfair competition, and trade secrets litigation, as well as director-shareholder litigation for closely-held companies. He regularly counsels clients on the most effective ways to protect confidential information and key client relationships.
