Clark Hill Attorneys Ray J. Koenig III, Eric Dorkin and Christopher S. Hopkins to Present at the IICLE® 12th Annual Elder Law Short Course
CHICAGO, IL – Clark Hill attorneys Ray J. Koenig III, Eric Dorkin and Christopher S. Hopkins will present at the 12th Annual Elder Law Short Course offered by IICLE®. The seminar will take place on November 3-4, 2016 in Lisle, IL.
Koenig and Hopkins will present “Representing Principals in Difficult Situations.” Participants will learn more about how to handle issues relating to capacity, competence, fiduciary responsibilities, and powers of attorney.
Dorkin and co-presenter Amy E. McCarty from the Monahan Law Group will present “Guardianship Update.” Participants will learn the latest on guardianships, including recent issues relating to estate planning, divorce, and the Howell decision.

Koenig is the Managing Member of Clark Hill’s Chicago office and a member in Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group. He practices in the areas of probate litigation, trust litigation, fiduciary litigation, elder law, estate planning, and estate administration, with an emphasis on wills, trusts, guardianships, and advance directive contests and other fiduciary litigation. Koenig has represented individuals, families, financial institutions, medical institutions, and governmental organizations in all areas of his practice. Koenig has extensive trial, appellate and mediation experience in state and federal courts.
Dorkin represents a wide range of clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, real estate holdings, and construction, as well as high net worth individuals. He has extensive experience counseling clients in matters involving will, trust and estate litigation, non-compete, unfair competition, and trade secrets litigation, as well as director-shareholder litigation for closely-held companies. He regularly counsels clients on the most effective ways to protect confidential information and key client relationships.
Hopkins is an associate with the Litigation Practice Group in Clark Hill’s Chicago office. Chris helps families avoid and resolve difficult transitions of businesses, wealth, and real property. Chris represents individuals, financial institutions and closely held business owners in a variety of contested matters, including trust, estate, guardianship, and real property litigation.
