Clark Hill Attorneys Ray J. Koenig III and Leslie Gutierrez will present at the “Retirement Post-DOMA: What You Need to Know” seminar on Saturday, November 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Little Goat Kitchen (820 W. Randolph Street).

The repeal of DOMA is signification in that it allows for the recognition of same-sex marriages at the federal level for the first time. With this changing landscape, many questions remain about the implementation and impact of this historic Supreme Court decision. This seminar will address the following topics:

    Koenig is the managing member of Clark Hill’s Chicago office and a member in Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group. He practices in the areas of probate litigation, trust litigation, fiduciary litigation, elder law, estate planning and estate administration, with an emphasis on will, trust, guardianship, and advance directive contests and other fiduciary litigation. Koenig has represented individuals, families, financial institutions, medical institutions, and governmental organizations in all areas of his practice. Koenig has extensive trial, appellate and mediation experience in state and federal courts.

    Gutierrez is an Associate with the Litigation Practice Group in Clark Hill’s Chicago office. Gutierrez concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and products liability. Gutierrez also practices in the area of estate litigation and administration.
