– Clark Hill Attorneys Randi P. Glanz and Matthew W. Heron will be named Legal Aid and Defender (LAD) Pangborn Pin recipients at the Pro Bono and Public Service Awards ceremony November 21, 2013. A Pangborn Pin recipient has completed 100+ hours of pro bono service in a year.
LAD is the largest provider of free civil legal services to low-income residents of Michigan. It serves metropolitan Detroit through its offices in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties. It also represents criminal defendants in Wayne County and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Including brief consultations and comprehensive legal services, the public law firm handles some 15,000 legal matters yearly.
Glanz has been practicing law in the State of Michigan since 1991. She is a member of the firm’s Birmingham office, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of divorce and family law. Her practice includes advice and counseling in such areas as Child Custody, Parenting Time, Spousal and Child Support, Domestic Violence, Property Division,, Mediation and Arbitration, Paternity, Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements, Change of Domicile, Grandparent’s rights and Post-Judgment Proceedings. Prior to specializing exclusively in the area of Family Law, Glanz practiced insurance defense litigation as well as premise and product liability.
Heron is a Senior Attorney in the Litigation Practice Group of Clark Hill PLC in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to joining Clark Hill, he was a federal law clerk to then Chief United States District Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff of the Eastern District of Michigan.
Heron’s primary area of practice is commercial litigation with a focus in real estate litigation and complex commercial litigation, including non-compete agreements, automotive supplier disputes, and anti-trust. He routinely appears in both federal and state courts through Michigan, and has argued before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
