Jennifer M. Buckley
is a member in Clark Hill’s Detroit office, where she focuses her practice in the area of Labor and Employment.
Buckley defends employers in state and federal court actions against sex, race, age, disability discrimination claims, ERISA and FMLA claims, as well as wrongful discharge and related tort claims. She is also experienced in defending actions brought under Michigan’s Sales Representative Commissions Act and pursuing and defending claims pertaining to restrictive covenants. She has represented employers in administrative hearings before the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Michigan Employment Security Commission and the Michigan Department of Labor.
Ms. Buckley earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan, and her J.D. cum laude
from the Michigan State College of
Law where she was the Research Editor of the Law Review. Buckley is presently a Board of Directors Member of the American Society of Employers and the YMCA Camping Services Board. Ms. Buckley is also on the Legal Affairs Committee of the
Human Resources Assoc of Greater Detroit (local), Society of Human Resource Management.
Anne-Marie Vercruysse Welch
is an associate attorney at the Clark Hill law firm’s Detroit office. Her practice focuses on employment litigation, labor law, and nonprofit risk management.
Ms. Welch is a contributor to legal and professional publications and serves as a speaker for various business, professional, and trade organizations on topics such as risk management, employee misuse of the Internet, legal hiring and termination practices, privacy rights in the workplace, and employers’ methods to reduce healthcare costs.
She earned her J.D.,
magna cum laude
, from the Michigan State University College of Law, where she received a full academic scholarship and had the privilege of serving as an associate editor of the
Michigan State Law Review
and as an intern to the Honorable Avern L. Cohn of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
As an active citizen in the Detroit Metropolitan community, Ms. Welch serves on the board of directors for the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Barristers, the
YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit’s Camping Services,
and The Birmingham Community House Uptown Group.
