Detroit, MI – Clark Hill attorney Linda M. Watson will moderate an in-house counsel webinar, “The Antitrust Refresher You Really Might Need,” on February 21, 2017, with guest speaker Jane C. Luxton of Clark Hill’s Washington, DC office.

Most companies think they have antitrust covered, but the Justice Department's most recent list of corporate fines in antitrust prosecutions indicates that even the largest, most sophisticated companies may be wrong in this assumption. The list published, January 12, 2017, shows that four of the ten highest fines ever for antitrust violations were imposed in 2017, and the year has barely begun. With fines in the hundreds of millions of dollars becoming the norm, and Fortune 500 companies peppering the list, it may be time for in-house counsel to consider an antitrust refresher.

Luxton, formerly a senior trial attorney at the Justice Department's Antitrust Division, will reinforce the basics and cover evolving trends in antitrust enforcement actions, including both U.S. and increasingly relevant foreign law prosecutions. She will also offer views on what to expect from Trump Administration antitrust enforcement.
