PITTSBURGH, PA – Clark Hill attorneys David G. Ries and Christopher M. Brubaker are scheduled to present at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Business Insurance CLE at the PBI Professional Development Conference Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 24, 2016. Ries practices in the areas of environmental, technology, and data protection law and litigation.  For over 15 years, he has increasingly focused on cybersecurity, privacy, and information governance and frequently lectures and writes on these subjects nationally for legal, educational, and professional groups.  He is a coauthor of Locked Down: Practical Information Security for Attorneys, Second Edition (American Bar Association 2016) and Encryption Made Simple for Lawyers (American Bar Association 2015). He is a member of the firm’s Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Privacy Group and Information Governance 360 Team.

Brubaker concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation and insurance matters.  He regularly provides advice to companies on insurance and cyber risk issues related to transactions and risk management, and has experience in a variety of subject areas including insurance and reinsurance coverage, insurance arbitration and appeals, contract matters, and insurance defense. He has also advised companies on regulatory matters involving insurance and environmental laws, rules and regulations.  Brubaker is in the Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Privacy practice group and he is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
