Clark Hill Attorney William B. Dunn Appointed to the State Bar of Michigan’s 21st Century Task Force Committee: Modernizing the Regulatory Machinery

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Clark Hill Attorney William B. Dunn has been appointed to serve on the State Bar of Michigan’s 21st Century Task Force Committee: Modernizing the Regulatory Machinery. The committee will review the current and future capacity of the state’s attorney regulatory agencies in light of changing means and methods in delivery of services; make recommendations on preparation for legal practice; identify and make recommendations on action needed to advance existing strategies and innovations that have been raised nationally, but not yet resolved in Michigan; and identify future regulatory change.   

Dunn serves as "Of Counsel" to the Firm. He specializes in real property, secured transactions and related business practice, as well as legal ethics and professional responsibility.  His activity in the area of legal regulation includes service on the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, which he chaired; eight years as a member of the State Bar of Michigan Professional Responsibility Committee (3 as chair); chair of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers Committee on Professional Responsibility, and member of a hearing panel of the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board.  He has spoken on programs for the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility National Conference, for the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and for other professional organizations on professional regulatory subjects.  His experience in this area has led to speaking and consulting engagements, and to his service as expert witness.
