CHICAGO – Clark Hill Attorney W. Kent Carter has received a 2015 Client Choice Award for Insolvency and Restructuring in Illinois. Carter was one of three award recipients in Insolvency and Restructuring in Illinois.
Established in 2005, the Client Choice awards are based solely on votes received from corporate counsel. The London, UK-based Client Choice organization bases its findings on a unique global survey of in-house counsel subscribers to two respected leaders in legal information – Lexology and International Law Office – as well as members of the Association of Corporate Counsel. The awards recognize law firms and their partners around the world for the quality of the client service they provide and for the market-leading and real value they add to their clients’ business. This year’s winners were chosen from a pool of more than 2,500 individual client assessments.
Carter is a member of Clark Hill PLC’s Litigation and Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice groups in Chicago. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and restructuring, with a concentration on the Uniform Commercial Code, including secured transactions, equipment leasing, commercial sales and negotiable instruments. He has more than 18 years of experience representing clients in complex contract disputes and business torts in state, federal, bankruptcy and appellate courts.
His practice also includes representation of secured lenders and other parties in all aspects of business workouts and insolvency law, including asset sales, restructuring, refinancing, bankruptcy, out-of-court workouts and successor liability.
