Clark Hill Attorney Robert D. Gordon to Moderate ABI Roundtable Discussion at 83rd Annual National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges

– Clark Hill attorney Robert D. Gordon will moderate “Post-Confirmation Litigation—The Latest Issues” at an American Bankruptcy Institute roundtable discussion during the 83rd Annual National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges in Las Vegas on October 20, 2009. Panelists include the Honorable Arthur J. Gonzalez of New York (presiding Judge in Old Carco f/k/a Chrysler LLC), Richard E. Mikels of Boston, and Candace Carlyon of Las Vegas.
Robert D. Gordon
leads Clark Hill’s Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice Group. Robert focuses his practice in the areas of corporate reorganization, bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters, debtor and creditor rights, workouts, and related commercial litigation.
Robert has broad experience representing various parties in interest in bankruptcy and other judicial proceedings and in out-of-court workouts and restructurings, spanning a variety of industries and business segments, including automotive, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, aviation, and real estate. He represents distressed companies, vendors and trade creditors, creditors’ committees, lenders and other secured parties, purchasers of assets, insurance carriers, landlords, tenants, equipment lessors, and trustees and liquidating agents in complex matters both in Michigan and throughout the United States. Robert also regularly represents parties in fraudulent transfer actions, preference actions, and other commercial and bankruptcy-related litigation. He has argued cases before numerous courts, including prevailing before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in the reported case In re Made in Detroit, Inc., 414 F.3d 576 (6th Cir. 2005).
Robert has lectured on numerous bankruptcy and creditors’ rights topics for Michigan’s Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the American Bankruptcy Institute, Original Equipment Suppliers Association, and other organizations. Robert has been selected for the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® in the specialty of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law. In 2007-09, Robert was selected by Michigan Super Lawyers as a leading attorney in Michigan in his area of expertise.
