Clark Hill Attorney Ray J. Koenig III Received the Vernita Gray Lifetime Achievement Award
CHICAGO, IL – Clark Hill attorney Ray J. Koenig III was honored with the Vernita Gray Lifetime Achievement Award at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s 7th Annual Pride Celebration & Awards Ceremony. State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez presented the Award.
During the Awards Ceremony, Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez, along with members of the office’s Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender (LGBT) Advisory Council, honored three Chicago residents who have made prominent contributions to the LGBT community. Koenig, Chair of the LGBT Advisory Council, was honored with the Vernita Gray Lifetime Achievement Award for his advocacy within and for the LGBT community. The Award was named for Vernita Gray, a 21 year veteran of the State’s Attorney’s Office who was a trailblazer and devoted advocate in the LGBT community. The other honorees were Christina Kahrl of ESPN and Jeremy Gottschalk of Sittercity, a Clark Hill client.
Koenig is a member in Clark Hill’s Litigation and Personal Legal Services Practice Groups. He also serves in leadership roles within the firm, which includes serving as the Managing Member of Clark Hill’s Chicago office, as well as the firm’s Executive Committee. Koenig is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and serves as a member of its Fiduciary Litigation Committee. Koenig has represented individuals, families, financial institutions, medical institutions, and governmental organizations in all areas of his practice.
