Graham advises school districts and employers in avoiding liability under various state and federal employment laws. He has significant experience representing school districts and private sector employers in labor relations matters such as the administration of collective bargaining agreements, grievance arbitrations, union organizing campaigns and elections, and unfair labor practice charges. Graham has appeared before numerous administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Labor, National Labor Relations Board, Michigan Employee Relations Commission, Teacher Tenure Commission, Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency, and Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth – Wage Hour Division.

In addition to his labor relations experience, Graham also counsels employers in day-to-day employment law compliance such as drafting employment policies and agreements, wage/hour laws, FMLA/ADA, investigations, employee discipline, and assists them in proactively addressing employee issues in order to avoid liability. Graham also has substantial experience handling MIOSHA/OSHA citation appeals, and counseling employers with respect to MIOSHA/OSHA inspections. Graham has lectured on employment and school law topics and is a past chair of the Grand Rapids Bar Association – Labor & Employment Section.
