Brendel is scheduled to present on “What’s in the Air? – Redeveloping Sites with Vapor Intrusion Issues” at the 2017 National Brownfields Training Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 7, 2107. Cosponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the National Brownfields Training Conference will take place December 5-7, 2017 — with pre-conference workshops on December 4th — at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Offered every two years, the conference is the largest gathering of stakeholders focused on cleaning up and reusing formerly utilized commercial and industrial properties. Joseph R. Brendel is a Member in Clark Hill’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office within the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group. His more than 30 years of experience includes regulatory compliance counseling, covering all environmental media (e.g., air, water, solid and hazardous waste), administrative enforcement actions, site remediation, the development and maintenance of environmental management systems, negotiation of environmental provisions of acquisition and divestiture agreements, and related litigation. He has significant experience assisting clients with brownfield redevelopment projects at sites with contaminants including chlorinated solvents, metals and petroleum products.
